The State Transit Authority of New South Wales, also referred to as State Transit, is an agency of the Government of New South Wales operating bus services in Sydney.
The Challenges
Frequently modified school route data including special buses were manually generated using a costly and time consuming process. Exceptions to bus stops were not available in real time causing frustration to students and parents.

What this involved
XML from the transport department’s timetabling system parsed and stored automatically, so the maps and timetables follow the source rather than a manual copy
Interactive maps and timetables published on the public site, kept current as routes change
